Barbara A. Harvey, 86, of Coldwater, passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at Maple Lawn. A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Coldwater United Methodist Church with Pastor Julie Elmore officiating. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.
Barbara was born February 12, 1935 in Brown City, MI to Homer & Daisy (Raymond) Stephenson. She married Robert Dale Harvey on July 12, 1953. He preceded her in death in October 2012.
Mrs. Harvey taught First Grade for the Coldwater Community School System for over thirty years. She also dedicated much time tutoring children. Barb was an active member of the Coldwater United Methodist Church where she enjoyed voluteering. She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.
Barbara is survived by her son Robert (Mary) Harvey of Niles, her daughter Jeanean (Gary) Petter of Richmond, TX, her sister Twyla Mock of Coldwater, her sister-in-law Dorothy Stephenson of Coldwater, her grandchildren Heather (Dan Giszewski) Harvey, Christopher Petter, Katelyn (Zac Kush) Harvey, Daniel Petter, Patrick Harvey, Matthew Petter; great grandchildren Allison Giszewski, Gwendolyn Giszewski and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters Loraine Urban, Doris Loose, Norma Gaglio and her brothers Max & Homer Stephenson.
