Obituary for Alvin J. Losinski

Alvin James Losinski, 89 of Coldwater passed away Tuesday, June 08, 2021 at his home while under hospice care and surrounded by his loving family.
A private visitation and burial will be held. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bronson with Military Honors by the Bronson American Legion. A public memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Alvin was born February 28, 1932 to William and Clara (Herman) Losinski in Bronson Township. He was a hardworking man starting his work life at Darling where he worked for seven years before deciding that dairy farming was his true work passion. He proudly served in the U.S. Army. On November 24, 1956 he married the love of his life, Diane Smoker at St. Mary’s. She preceded him in death on July 14, 2018.
Alvin was a man of faith and a long-time member of St. Mary’s, where he was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Bronson American Legion. Alvin had many interests, but the main one was woodworking. He also enjoyed gardening, hunting, playing cards, and an occasional trip to the casino. Alvin always put his family first in his life, especially his grand and great grandchildren. He will be remembered for being very wise, generous, and giving. Alvin led by example and was a selfless man in both words and actions. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Mr. Losinski is survived by his children Allen Losinski, Danny Losinski of Bronson, Mark (Cindy) Losinski of Coldwater, Kevin (Shari) Losinski of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kristy (Matthew) Rissman of Coldwater; his siblings Betty Aleman of Coldwater, Norma Klavinski of Coldwater, Carolyn (Gary) Lash of Tampa, FL, and Janet Losinski of Bronson; his grandchildren Lucas, Lance, Trenton, and Corey Losinski, Brandi Perez, Alicia Himebaugh, Karah Modert, Dilan, and Emily Rissman; 11 great grandchildren; many nieces & nephews; and his dog “Oscar”. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Diane Losinski; his sister Marlene Sikorski; and his brother Junior Losinski.
