Ronald W. "Ron"  Stempien
Ronald Walter “Ron” Stempien, 81 of Coldwater passed away Monday, January 1, 2018 at his home while surrounded by his family.

A graveside burial of cremated remains will take place at 10:00 am, Friday, January 5, 2018 at Lester Cemetery in Quincy.

Ronald was born January 30, 1936 to Joseph and Helen (Koper) Stempien, Sr. in Romulus. Ronald was a hardworking man, spending 30 plus years as a night watchman at Dana Corporation in Angola. On November 5, 1960, he married the love of his life, Eva Bussing.

Ron was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and cutting wood. He was outgoing, generous, and helpful to anyone in need. He truly relished spending time with his family, especially passing along his love of the outdoors to his children and grandchildren. He will be missed by many.

Ron is survived by his wife of 57 years, Eva Stempien of Coldwater; his children Scott (Vicky) Stempien, Leonard (Julie) Stempien, and Rita (Joseph) Morrissey, all of Coldwater; his siblings Deloris Linton, Patricia Crow, Charles Stempien, Robert (Carol) Stempien, David (Paulette) Stempien, William (Linda) Stempien, and Tony (Caroline) Stempien; his grandchildren Brandon Stempien, Joseph (Lizzy) Stempien, Karinna (Jacob) McGraw, Amanda Morrissey, and Curtis Morrissey; his great grandchildren Joseph Stempien, Jr., Genevieve Stempien, and Oliver McGraw; and several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his three brothers Richard “Richie”, Joseph, and Leonard “Bump” Stempien.
