Steven “Russ” Albert Russell, 50, of Coldwater, passed away on Sunday, December 24, 2017 at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Jim Erwin officiating. Interment will follow at Batavia Cemetery in Batavia Township. Visitation will take place on Friday, December 29, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Steve was born November 16, 1967 to Albert M. and Ruth A. (Cox) Russell in Coldwater. He was a graduate of the Bronson High School class of 1986. Steve was married to Kendra Miller.
He was employed as a farm hand at Bloom Dairy Farm in Coldwater. He previously worked at K & W Manufacturing in Bronson as a laborer.
Russ was a member of the Coldwater Moose, and the FFA-Future Farmers of America. He was a former board member of the Branch County Fair. He had attended Bethel Gilead Community Church. He loved the John Deere brand, farming, being an outdoorsman, watching football especially the New England Patriots.
Russ is survived by his parents Albert and Ruth Russell of Coldwater; his sons, Nathan, Michael and Dalton all of Coldwater; his former wife Kendra Siefken of Allen; his grandchildren, Korbin Russell and Sophia Martin; his brother, Richard (Heather) Russell of Union City and his nieces, Haley Russell, Ellary Russell and Megann Russell.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
