Condolence: Vicki,
We are so very sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed talking to him at a family get together. He loved you and the kid's very much and adored those grandchildren. We are thinking about all of you here in Columbus.

Condolence: To me Emerson Legg was a warrior. A man of tremendous work ethic. He had an enate sense for what would work to create works of masonry art from God's earthy elements. Anyone who has seen his masonry work marvels at the beauty the creativity, the lasting quality of what he built.
He had his burdens and battles to fight; however, he overcame. I like to think that when he married my sister Vicki Mulberry, he stepped into the adventures of his life.
I saw Emerson as a stubborn man - with compassion. He knew when it was time to help someone and when to say not now.
I am blessed to be a recipient of his compassion and love.
Thank you Emerson for loving my sister Vicki so dearly.

Condolence: Sad to hear of your loss.
Emerson built our stone fire place in 1993-94. One day when he was 2 stories up on the scafolding the board he was standing on broke and he crashed to the ground. This happened on a day when none of the other contractors, subs, or my wife or I were there. After laying there for a while to see if anyone would show up, and with a bone sticking out of his leg, Emerson pulled himself up an 8' grade, thru the garage to his manual shift pickup and drove the 1/8 mile down the drive way to flag down someone to help.

We went to see him in the hospital and his thoughts were for us and finishing the fireplace and not holding things up!!! I don't remeber his name but the next week a brotgher showed up and everything worked out perfect. What a beautiful "Emerson Legg" fireplace we have.
