Obituary for Ricky Lamar Gundrum

Ricky Lamar Gundrum, 59 of Burr Oak passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
A funeral service will take place at 12 Noon, Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM.
Ricky was born June 24, 1958 to Jarvis and Charlayne (Shaffer) Gundrum in Coldwater. He was a foreman at Voltek for ten plus years before having to retire due to an injury.
Ricky enjoyed riding his Harley and was a member of Heritage Trail H.O.G. Chapter #2155 in Sturgis. He was an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing and hunting. He was able to shoot an Imperial (7 x 7) Elk in Colorado. Ricky also liked playing in family poker and euchre games. He was a self-taught handyman, willing to tackle most any project for family or friends. Ricky will be remembered for his giving & helping nature, along with being a jokester. He will be missed by many.
Mr. Gundrum is survived by children Shannon (Robert) Gundrum-Reynolds of Davison, Chasity (Scott) Williams of Coldwater, and Chad Prater of Tennessee; his step-mother Shirley Westphal of Chelsea; his ex-wife Linda Gundrum of Sturgis; his siblings Sandra Davis of Sturgis, Cindy Hart and Karan Owens both of Coldwater; his step-brother John Gundrum of Union City; his step-sisters Teka Ruhlig of Chelsea and Rose Williams of Kalamazoo; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Randy Gundrum; his brother-in-law Bruce Davis; his nephew Jammy Gundrum; and his niece Angela Davis.
Memorials may be directed to the funeral home for final expenses.
