Eunice Marlene German, 80, of Bronson, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson with Fr. Mark Vyverman officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. A private interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater at a later date.
Eunice was born January 8, 1937 to Howard B. and Ruthann I. (Dexter) Sager in Coldwater. Soon after graduating from Coldwater High School in 1955, she married James (Bud) Sobeske and they moved to Bronson and raised their three children. In 1987, Eunice remarried, and spent thirty wonderful years with her current husband, Wayne German.
Eunice worked at Federal Mogul in Coldwater until it closed, and then for the Kirsch Co. in Sturgis for 32 years, retiring in 2002. In retirement, she spent her time providing daycare for her grandchildren, hosting beautiful birthday and holiday parties for her family and enjoying time with her husband, Wayne. She was well known for her excellent cooking and housekeeping. Eunice will be remembered as a strong-willed, hard-working and dedicated mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson.
Eunice is survived by her husband Wayne; her children, Jim (Karen) Sobeske of Coldwater, Barb Sobeske of Bronson and Joe (Susan) Sobeske of Coldwater; her stepsons, Scott (Jenny) German of Coldwater, Todd (Kathy) German of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Mark (Michelle) German of Temperance; her sister, Edith (Dave) Bonham and her brother Curt (Joann) Sager, all of Cheboygan; her 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Bill Sager and her sister, Martha Deranek.
Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson.
