Marcy Jo Schorey, 60, of Bronson passed away peacefully on August 26, 2017 at her home.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Marcy was born on June 25, 1957 to Donald Joseph and Donna Mae (Imhoff) Kolassa in Sturgis. After graduating from Bronson High School and attending 2 years of college, she went onto work for Douglas Manufacturing in Bronson as a machine operator for 25 years and then the past 2 years in housekeeping at Thurston Woods in Sturgis.
She married Kevin Wayne Schorey on June 6, 1987 in Bronson. Marcy enjoyed bowling, playing softball, swimming, waterskiing, watching University of Michigan, Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers sports teams but she especially loved being with her family and grandchildren.
Marcy is survived by her husband of 30 years Kevin; her children; Angela (Derek) Wonders of Bronson and Kevin (Amber Lapins) Schorey of Athens, her grandchildren; Aley Wonders, Diesel Wonders, Axle Wonders and Korbin Schorey, her siblings; Rod Kolassa of Bronson and Tina Kolassa of Bronson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her 2 brothers Gary and Kim Kolassa.
