Dollie Marie  Teller
Dollie Marie Teller, 89, of Litchfield, passed away peacefully with her family present in the comfort of her home on Thursday, July 27, 2017.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 31, 2017 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with visitation from 11:30 – 1:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
Dollie was born September 1, 1927 to Audley and Alice (Small) Bills at the family log cabin in Crystal. She married Leo M. Teller on November 17, 1944 in Jonesville and he preceded her in death on October 5, 1993.
Dollie was an Avon Representative for over 62 years and reached many levels of achievement including the Honor Society and the Presidential Club. She also worked as a cashier in the lunchroom with Litchfield Public Schools for many years.
Dollie’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends and traveling. She was a former member of the Litchfield Rebekah’s Lodge. Dollie had belonged to the Quincy Nite Owls Camping Club. She enjoyed camping, playing cards, going to the casino, bingo, reading, cross stitching and sewing- especially quilts. She embraced technology as she was on Facebook and could text messages with her family.
Dollie is survived by her children; Joan (Tom) Ochsenrider of Litchfield, Larry Teller of Litchfield and Michelle (Roy) Heminger of Litchfield, her siblings; Audrey Lattas of Hillsdale, half-brother Leroy (Betty) Bills of Faxon, Oklahoma, half-sister Ima Lee (Doug) Worden of Riga, step-brother George (Shirley) DePew of Tekonsha, step-brother Jim DePew of Jackson, step-sister Shirley (Richard) Harrison of Jackson and step-sister Alice (Rich) Luther of Coloma, her grandchildren; Scott, Amy, Greg, Stacy, Alicia, Gary, Rebecca, Christopher and Amanda, her 21 great grandchildren and 1 great- great granddaughter. Dollie was also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo, an infant son Henry Burr, her siblings Leona Katz, Wanda Karney, Duane Bills, Bob Bills, Charles Bills, Kenny Bills and her special friend Richie Magda.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Litchfield Community Schools or to the charity of one’s choice.
