Obituary for Frank J. Ostrofsky

Frank J. Ostrofsky, 83, of Coldwater, passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Frank was born August 6, 1933 in Queens, NY to Frank and Josephine (Tokarcyk) Ostrofsky. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1951 and then joined the US Navy, serving during the Korean War. He served on the USS Whetstone on a LSD 27 ship. Frank was honorably discharged in 1954. Frank went to Pratt Institute in New York, graduating in 1958 with a degree in Advertising Art.
Frank met the love of his life in New York, Patricia Ann Carine. They were married September 9, 1956, in Queens, NY and celebrated 60 years together.
Mr. Ostrofsky worked for several jewelry companies throughout the south and Midwest as an Advertising Manager. Their family moved to Royal Oak, MI in 1973 where Frank started his own advertising agency, New Marketing Advertising. After retiring in 2008, Frank and his wife Patricia moved to Coldwater, to be closer to family. Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an avid fly fisherman, golfer and pilot. Frank enjoyed gardening and was very involved with his grandchildren’s activities.
Frank is survived by his wife Pat, his children Donna (Jon) Keckler of Sherwood, Frank M. Ostrofsky of Flint, his grandchildren Amy, Katie, Beth and Michael and great grandson Conner James. Frank was preceded in death by his parents. www.dutcherfh.com
