Catherine A. Ward, 87, of Bronson, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at Adult Assisted Lake Living in Union City.
The funeral will be Friday, June 30, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Paul Redmond from St. Mary of Assumption Church officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 29, 2017 from 4-7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home. Interment will take place at a later date in Lockwood Cemetery.
Catherine was born April 17, 1930 in Detroit, MI to Paul & Rose (Manock) Barone. She married William J. Ward in 1952 in Angola, IN, he preceded her in death in May of 1981.
Mrs. Ward worked at Quality Springs for 33 years, until her retirement. She was a member of St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson and dedicated much of her time volunteering at the Bronson Food Pantry. Catherine was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker who enjoyed gardening and cooking. She had great compassion for others and enjoyed socializing. Catherine loved to laugh and live life to the fullest.
Catherine is survived by her sons Bill Ward of Bronson, Bob (Patricia) Ward of Coldwater, her brother Bob Barone of Bronson, her grandchildren Ryan (Holly) Ward, Morgan Ward, Bobby Ward, Jesse Ward, Katie Ward; great grandchildren Brysen, Macy, Brady, Natalie and Kora and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers Joe and John Barone.
