Obituary for Roberta F. Leutz

Roberta F.  Leutz
Roberta Florence Leutz, 87 of Coldwater passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at Lakeland Nursing Center in Angola.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 4:30 until 8:00 pm at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Coldwater with Fr. Rick Schark officiating.
Roberta was born May 1, 1930 to Charles H. and Forest G. (Emfield) Hall in Toledo. After graduation from Whitney Vocational High School in Toledo, Ohio, she began a long working career. Roberta retired from Midwest Haulers, Inc. as a Director and Treasurer after many years. Additional companies in the corporate portfolio were Virginia Surety Company, Great Lakes Insurance Company and Seagate Investment Company all of Toledo. On February 27, 1957 she married Charles Leutz in Toledo. He preceded her in death on August 20, 1984.
Roberta was a woman of faith and very active member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church. She served as assistant treasurer, as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Nearly New Consignment Shop, as Past Chairperson of the luncheon committee, as past member of the policies, personnel, finance, occasions and communications committees. Roberta was also a member of St. Mark’s Vestry from 2002-2004. She was also extremely devoted to volunteering at the Community Health Center of Branch County. Roberta served as Treasurer of the CHC Auxiliary Volunteers from 200-2002 and 2005-2007, was Vice President during 2007-2008, Past Treasurer and Founding Member for the Celebration of Lights, served on the Board of Directors for the CHC Auxiliary. She also earned an award for over 170,000 hours of volunteer work at CHC. Roberta also knitted over 1000 hats and booties for newborns at CHC.
Roberta is survived by her son Donald (Janice) Leutz of Coldwater; her step-grandchildren, Jessica Cheney of Chicago, Illinois, Taylor Cheney of Whitehouse, Ohio and Logan Cheney of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Audrey Waller and her brother Donald Hall.
