Frances E. Bressler, 83, of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2017 at her home.

The family will hold a celebration of life gathering at her house from 12:00 – 4:00 pm on Sunday June 11, 2017 at 97 Branch Avenue. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.

Frances was born July 30, 1933 in Coldwater to Floyd and Lena (Houck) Harris. She was a graduate of Coldwater High School and worked for Attorney Ralph Stevens before beginning a long career as a court reporter at the Branch County Court House. After retirement, she continued doing transcription work at home. Fran married D. Wade Bressler, he preceded her in death on February 25, 1977. She later married Dean Chester, who also preceded her in death.

Fran was an avid reader. She enjoyed spending time working in her flower garden and watching sports, especially tennis. Fran will be remembered as a woman with a heart of gold. She was a kind, sweet, and gentle soul with a love of animals. Fran will be missed by many.

Frances is survived by her son in law Duane Winch of Coldwater, her sister Alice (Gilbert) Dean of Canadian Lakes, MI, her brother Darwin Maurer of Harrison, MI and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, her son Philip Lee Bressler and her daughter Kathryn Lynne Winch.
