The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Harold Coe can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Dearest Uncle

Going to Uncle Harold and Aunt Jean's wasn't just a family visit it was home away from home. My father respected Uncle Harold more than any other man he knew. My mother marveled at all the things Aunt Jean could accomplish. She was the closest anyone ever came to being a sister to my mother. So my parents trusted my sister and me with them when they had to go away, whether it was for days or months at a time. We had few rules in our home so I'm sure the thought was that we would just take care of ourselves for the most part, no problem. Except I came home very late one night from a date and Uncle Harold was at the door in his robe. All he said was "getting in pretty late aren't you"? I said 'yes' and from then on I shorten my dates while at the farm!

Physically I lost my mother in 1986 and my father 1988. I lost the last of my parents again when my beloved aunt  passed in 2013 and my adored uncle left in 2017.
