Obituary for Marian Louise Culbert

Marian Louise  Culbert
Marian Louise Culbert, 63, of Coldwater, went home to her savior on Monday, April 10, 2017 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Lockwood Community Church in Coldwater with Pastor Shayne Looper officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater. Visitation will take place from 10:00 until 11:00 AM prior to the memorial service at the church. The family is being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Marian was born February 6, 1954 to James J. and Norma A. (Grohman) Culbert in Coldwater. She graduated from Coldwater High School in 1972 and from South Central Michigan School of Practical Nursing the following year. Marian also graduated from Kellogg Community College with an Associate Degree in Arts in 1999. She worked as a para- professional at ADAPT in Coldwater for many years and also for Branch County ISD for 15 years.
Marian was a member of Lockwood Community Church. She was involved with Camp Fire Girls and Bluebirds as well as Branch County 4-H with their sewing. Marian enjoyed reading her Bible as she trusted in the Lord and proclaimed His goodness and mercy despite nearly constant pain and increasing debility. She enjoyed crafts including macramé, plastic bead ornaments and handmade cards which she gave away, her fish aquarium, reading mysteries, animals and her pet rabbits, especially Spunky. Marian crocheted toys and blankets for her nieces, nephews and children of friends and she also shared baked goods with family and friends.
She is survived by her siblings; Margaret R. (Tom) Forsythe of Flushing, Steven (Laura) Culbert of Pt. Huron, Michael Culbert of Coldwater, Annette Himmel of Pt. Huron and Julie (Bill) Polak of Romulus and her 11 nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews. Marian was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Kathleen C. Curtis.
