Thelma I. "Polly"  Holsworth
Thelma “Polly” Irene (McLarty) Holsworth, 86 of Yale, formerly of Avoca went to be with the Lord Wednesday, April 12, 2017 in Coldwater. She passed away at her daughter’s home in Coldwater, MI. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.

The family will have a celebration of life at Brockway Twp. Hall 7645 Sayles Rd. Yale, MI on Saturday April 29th, 2017 from 1:00 – 5:00.

Polly was born September 4, 1930 in Yale the seventh of eight children to William and Elizabeth (Taylor) Parker. She was a hardworking woman who had many talents including manufacturing, driving school bus and gravel truck, farming and also owned a restaurant in Avoca. She was married to Alex McLarty (1950 – 1963) and later to Donald (Bud) Holsworth (1965 – 1976).

Polly was the cornerstone of her family. She loved spending time with her siblings, children, and especially her grandchildren. She had a love of animals, particularly horses. Polly also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, boating, and birdwatching. Her fondest memories were gathering with family and friends around a fire or kitchen table. She lives on in our memories, just as she touched our lives by her generous loving nature, energetic attitude and selflessness.

She is survived by her five children Richard (Linda) McLarty of Brown City, Patti (Kevin Wilson) Sharpe of Lake Port, Dennis (Jane) McLarty of Yale, Donna (Mark) Rosenau of Coldwater, and Donella (Dan) Belote of Villa Rica, GA; her sisters Wilma Doyle of Yale and Verna McLarty of Bad Axe; her fourteen (14) grandchildren Samra (Tim) Weindl, Marqui (Steve) Fuller, Dawn (Bill) Albanys, David Bethway, Marylou Tallmadge, Terry (Tammy) Sharpe, Denny (Rachel) McLarty, Michelle McLarty, Patrick (Tanisha) Rosenau, Kim (Shawn) Coller, Tim (Heather) Rosenau, Ron (Clare) Holsworth, Danielle (Levi) Soltis, and Desiree Belote; fourteen (14) great grandchildren, one (1) great-great grandchild and many cherished nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter (Sally McLarty), her brothers (Wes, Howard, and Don Parker), her sisters (Betty and Beulah Parker). www.dutcherfh.com
