Obituary for Betty Jean Groholski

Betty Jean Groholski, 86 of Burlington, MI passed away Saturday April 1, 2017 at her son’s home.

There will be a gathering of family & friends at 12:00 PM on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Union City. In following Betty’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. The family was cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home.

Betty was born August 3, 1930 in Coldwater to Floyd and Marie (Campbell) Tucker Sr. On January 23, 1954 she married Edmond J. Groholski in Avilla, IN. He preceded her in death Oct. 4, 2005.

Betty owned Groholski Reality for 40 plus years. She loved Michigan summers, especially spending time gardening and mowing her yard. Betty and her siblings gathered weekly for lunch to keep in touch and discuss the week’s events. She enjoyed wintering in Florida where she was a member of the Red Hat Society and played cards with friends.

Betty is survived by her son Edmond A.(Donna) Groholski II of Burlington, MI; her grandchildren Danielle (Mike) Woodard of Burlington, Katie Groholski of Lynchburg VA, Morgan Groholski of Kalamazoo, Edmond M. (Rebecca) Groholski III of Burlington, and Madison Groholski of Burlington; her great grandchildren Westin Woodward and Edmond T. Groholski IV; her siblings Charles L. Tucker of Tekonsha, Mary Henderson of Coldwater, Bob (Phyllis) Tucker of Union, MI, Peggy (Fred) Pierson of Coldwater; her brother-in-law Al (Jean) Grohoske of Tekonsha; her sister-in-law Sharon Groholske of FL; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edmond; her brothers Floyd (Elwanda) Tucker Jr and Paul (Barbara) Tucker; her sister Patricia (Nelson) Case; her sister-in-law Arlene Tucker; her brother-in-law’s George Henderson, Irvin Groholske, Steven Groholske, Jr. and Jerry Groholske.
