Hazel I.  Nettleman
Hazel I. Casebeer-Nettleman, 95, of Coldwater paseed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at Maplelawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
A funeral service will be held at 12 Noon, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will follow at East Gilead Cemetery in Gilead Township. Visitation will take place from 11:00 until 12 Noon on Saturday, March 25, 2017 prior to the funeral service at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Hazel was born June 1, 1921 to Paul and Bertha (Manly) Hendryx in Reading. Hazel was married to Maurice Casebeer on June 6, 1941 in East Gilead and he preceded her in death in 1984. She was then married to Stanley Nettleman in 1999 and he preceded her in death in 2004.
In her earlier working years Hazel was a midwife with a local doctor and then she went on to work at the Coldwater State Home, retiring from the dietary department in 1983 after 17 years. She also helped the elderly and disabled whenever she could.
Hazel attended East Gilead Missionary Church and Orland Church of the Nazarene. She was a former member of the Coldwater Eagles Lodge. Hazel enjoyed caring for others, camping, fishing, spending winters in Florida, writing poetry, pencil and colored pencil drawing. She will be missed for her sense of humor, quick wit and boundless energy.
Hazel is survived by her children; Charlyne Munger and Robert Casebeer both of Woodstock, Georgia, her grandchildren; Daniel Munger, Sara Holstine, Becky Hagaman, Terry Munger and Nathan Casebeer, her 10 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren and her half sister, Norma Heckman of Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Larry Casebeer and many brothers and sisters.
