Obituary for Joseph J. Troyer

Joseph “Joe” J. Troyer, 39 of Bronson passed away Friday, March 17, 2017 at Bronson Methodist Hospital while surrounded by family.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at St. Mary’s of Assumption Catholic Church in Bronson with Pastor Terry Siler of First Congregational Church officiating. Interment will follow at Bronson Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, March 20, 2017 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson from 3:00 – 8:00 PM.

Joseph was born May 12, 1977 to Johnnie and Mary (Mast) Troyer, Sr. in Bronson. On June 18, 2010 he married Leslie Gochenour in Centerville. Joe worked as a group leader for Renegade RV in Middlebury.
Joe was a man of faith and attended First Congregational Church of Bronson. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, waterfowl hunting and camping. Joe’s true joy in life was spending time with his family. He will be missed by many.

Mr. Troyer is survived by his wife Leslie Troyer of Bronson; his children Matthew and Micah Troyer of Shipshewana, Gavin, Brady, and Alivia Troyer all of Bronson; his parents Johnnie and Mary Troyer, Sr. of LaGrange; his siblings Johnnie (Lori) Troyer Jr. of Fremont, Perry (Esther) Troyer of LaGrange, Wayne Troyer of Wolcottville, Gene Troyer of Lagrange, Ruth (Gene) Knepp of Topeka, Esther (Al) Fry of Wolcottville, Katie (Lavern) Bontrager of Wolcottville, and Mary (Martin) Yoder of LaGrange; his close friends Vic Heal of Bronson, Ray Bontrager of Sturgis, Russell Feller of Coldwater, and Pete Kauffman of Topeka; and several nieces & nephews.
