Evelyn A. Weitermann, 92, of Coldwater, passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Grand Vista Assisted Living.
A graveside service will be Friday, February 24, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta with Rev. Gregory Supianoski officiating. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Evelyn was born April 17, 1924 in Evanston, IL to Frank & Ruth (Mortenson) Huber. She married John C. “Jack” Weitermann on September 15, 1946 in Evanston, he preceded her in death June 22, 2002.
Evelyn spent most of her life as a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker. She obtained her realtor’s license, working briefly in real estate and also for Kellogg’s in Battle Creek. Evelyn was a longtime member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Battle Creek and dedicated 25 years of volunteering at Binder Park Zoo. She was a skilled seamstress and loved arts and crafts.
Evelyn is survived by her children Sharon (Bernie) Supianoski of Coldwater, John Weitermann of Sturgeon Bay, WI, her grandchildren Gregory (Stacey) Supianoski, Jaclyn Supianoski, J.C. Weitermann, Trisha (Eric) McKinney, 1 great granddaughter and 2 great grandsons. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Huber.
