Obituary for Marion Frank Bohacz

Marion Frank Bohacz,96, of Sturgis formerly of Bronson passed away Sunday, January 22, 2017 in Sturgis.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, January 26, 2017 at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson with Rev. Fr. Paul Redmond officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bronson. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson, with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm.
Marion was born September 13, 1920 to Stanley and Margaret (Wesolek) Bohacz in Bronson. He married Veronica Cholaj on February 7, 1948 at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson.
He was a lifelong farmer and also worked at Douglas Manufacturing in Bronson for 32 years retiring in 1983.
Marion was a lifelong member of St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson, Bronson Knights of Columbus and the United Commercial Travelers. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, farming, going to church, telling stories, polka music, making homemade polish sausage and frying fish his way. He was a Notre Dame and Detroit Lions fan. Most of all Marion loved being with his family.
Marion is survived by his wife of 68 years Veronica of Sturgis, his children; Gary (Cathy) Bohacz of Bronson, Linda (Ted) Szafranski of Saginaw, Roger (Karla) Bohacz of Bronson, Renee (Scott) Gleeson of Saranac, Bridget (Bob Berlow) Bohacz of Clarksville, Maryland, Laurie (Bill) O’Dell of Madison, Mississippi and Eric (Candy) Bohacz of Sturgis; his 19 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his 2 sons Michael and Gerald Bohacz, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
