Janice M.  Borer
Janice M. (Driscoll) Borer, 71, of Coldwater, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in Margate, Florida.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Very Rev. Mark Vyverman V.F. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2017 from 4-8:00PM, with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Janice was born August 12, 1945 in Toledo, Ohio to John & Virginia (Miller) Driscoll. She recently celebrated her 50th Wedding Anniversary with her husband James R. Borer. They were married on August 27, 1966 in Toledo, Ohio.
Mrs. Borer was a Paraprofessional for the Coldwater Community Schools from 1978 -2007, spending most of her career at Lakeland Elementary School.
Jan was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church and was actively involved in the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, where she had held many offices. She had been a longtime 4H Leader, Judge and Superintendent of sheep and horses, in Branch County. Jan was also a great supporter and volunteer of the Tibbits Opera House and Burnside Senior Center. Mrs. Borer enjoyed creating stained glass, knitting blankets for Beginnings Care for Life and reading. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Jan is preceded in death by her father John Driscoll, mother Virginia Schalitz, step-father Alfred Schalitz, father-in-law James I. Borer, mother-in-law Ursula Borer and brother-in-law Raymond Devine. She is survived by her husband Jim, her children John and Ginger Borer of Buchanan, VA, Jacqulyn and Doug Dennison of Milan, Jamie and Ben Croy of South Lyon, her grandchildren Spencer, Haley & Cole Dennison, Nolan Croy and Ryan Borer , her sister Judy Devine of Toledo, OH, step-brother Robert (Jackie) Schalitz of Venice, FL, her bothers and sisters-in-law William and Ann Borer, Bonnie and Robert Krall, Berni and Richard Parke, Beverly and David Goodwillie , and her many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School, Branch County 4-H, or HC Burnside Senior Center.
