Joey J. Griffin, 65, of Coldwater, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
A memorial service will be Friday, January 13, 2017 at 4:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Dave Brown officiating. The family will receive friends, prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
Joey was born July 7, 1951 in Coldwater, MI to Albert & Florence (Mason) Griffin. He married Laura L. Byers on January 8, 2002 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
Mr. Griffin most recently worked at TJ Rampit, retiring in 2013. Previously he worked 26 years at Quincy Products. Joe was an avid outdoorsman who loved working on cars and riding his motorcycle. He was also known for making fabulous pancakes.
Joe is survived by his wife Laura, his children Shawn (Mandy Roberson) Griffin of Altoona, FL, Lee Griffin of Coldwater, Maria Reif of Quincy, Dean (Danielle) McDowell of Perrysburg, OH, Linda McDowell of San Antonio, TX, Jesse Chester of Coldwater, Bette Chester of Albion, his siblings Bernard Kosier of Quincy, Larry (Deb) Griffin of Coldwater, Glenn Griffin of Arizona Bonnie Musgrove of East Leroy, 23 grandchildren, his former wife Tina Clark of Coldwater and his “babies” Lucy and Ricky. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Memorials may be directed to the funeral home to help with expenses.
