Ida Mae Lampman, 77, of Bronson passed away Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
A funeral service will take place at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 17, 2016 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with Evangelist Mike Roberts of Bronson Church of Christ officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM.
Ida was born October 7, 1939 to Verl and Leah (Burritt) Rumsey in Bronson. She was a loving and hardworking woman. Ida worked at Bronson Plating for 38 years as a racker and also many years at the Mayer Glad Farms. On September 26, 1957 she married Arthur Mock, after many years they divorced and he preceded her in death on December 13, 2014. On July 10, 1987, Ida married George “John” Lampman and he preceded her in death on June 3, 2010.
Ida was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved playing games, especially cards and Yahtzee, where she played to win. Ida was known as a great cook. Her hobbies included canning, watching hummingbirds at the feeder, Wheel of Fortune, QVC & HSN on TV. She was always doodling on anything that was near including, paper, cups, receipts or any item that ink would stick. Mostly she relished being with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered as a wonderful woman with a good sense of humor and a giving heart. Ida will be missed by many.
Mrs. Lampman is survived by her children Kathryn (Kim) Eichler of Bronson, Tammy (Raymond) Kulpinski of Coldwater, Randy (Kathy) Mock of Coldwater, and April (Shaun) Kline of Bronson; her siblings Clifford (Donna) Rumsey of Bronson, Norman Rumsey of Howe, IN, Verl (Connie) Rumsey, Ronald (Jeanie) Rumsey, and Carlon (Leota) Rumsey all of Bronson; her brother-in-law Felix Martinez of Bronson; and her sister-in-law Cathleen Rumsey of Lumberton, NC; her grandchildren Ernie (JoAnne) Goad, Veronica (Ryan) Smith, Megan (Bret) Smith, Lindi Cossairt, Brandi Cossairt, Brandon Eichler, Richard Akins, Randall Akins, Danielle (Tim) Dunn, James Akins(Kylie), Mikayla Mock, Ryan Mock, Mykal Kline, Dekoda Kline, and Brylie Kline; her great grandchildren Hailey, Savannah, Cole, Austin, Nathan, Dakota, Ethan, Addyson, Brianna, Matthew, Andrew, Nathan, Domanic, Carson, Cali, and Skylar; several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s Arthur Mock and John Lampman; her daughter Ida Marie Neil; her sister Betty Jane Vanluvender; her brother Vernon Rumsey; her sister Sharon Martinez; and great granddaughter Claire Mock-Campbell.
