Obituary for Robert D. Wotta

Robert D. Wotta, 80, of Bronson, passed away September 26, 2016 in Traverse City, surrounded by his family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10:30 AM at St. Mary of Assumption Church in Bronson with Rev. Fr. Richard Fritz officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, September 30, 2016 from 4-8:00 PM, with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Robert was born January 25, 1936 in Bronson, MI to William & Josephine (Ludwick) Wotta. He graduated from Bronson High School and served in the US Army from 1961-1964. Bob married Anna M. Noga on June 23, 1962 in Battle Creek.
Mr. Wotta was a tool & die maker, working for many years at Bronson Specialties which later became Solvay. He retired from Kirsch Corporation in Sturgis in 1998.
Robert was a member of St. Mary’s Church where he was 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus and for many years, sold tickets for the K of C fish fry. He was actively involved in his children’s lives, coaching Pee Wee and Little League baseball. He enjoyed bowling, playing cards and going to polish dances. Bob was an outdoorsman who loved fishing and spending time with family and friends at their cabin in northern Michigan.
Robert is survived by his wife Anna, his children Susie (Paul) Fritsch of Appleton, WI, Tim Wotta of Martinsville, IN, Cindi (Marty) Miller of Fishers, IN, Dave (Angie) Wotta of Martinsville, IN, his grandchildren Stephanie, Taylor, Brandon and Zach Miller and Halee Fritsch. He was preceded in death by his brother Ray Wotta.
