Obituary for David C. "Dave" Weiss

David Charles Weiss, 65 of Bronson died unexpectedly Saturday, September 3, 2016 in Saline, MI.

A funeral service will take place Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Terry Siler officiating. Interment will follow at Bronson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home.

David was born March 19, 1951 to Charles and Doris (Kehoe) Weiss in Lansing. He graduated from Bronson High School in 1969 and then moved to San Luis Obispo, CA where he worked for PG & E Electric Company for 23 years. In 1993 he moved back to Bronson and took a field supervisor position with Consumers Energy. Dave retired in July of 2013. On January 15, 2000 he married Sue Kline in Bronson.

Dave enjoyed restoring and showing old vehicles, and in doing so won many ribbons. His latest passion over the past 10 years was truck pulling. In the last three years he was involved in the NTPA. In Dave’s younger days, he was an avid golfer and bowler.

Mr. Weiss is survived by his wife of 16 years, Sue Ann Weiss of Bronson; son Josh Weiss of Bronson; daughters Tisha (Rick) Warren and Tonya Adkins all of California; stepsons Pat (Missy) Pixley, Matt (Dianna) and Josh (Dorie) Swinehart all of Bronson; mother Doris Kehoe of Bronson; sister Pam (Jim) Stout of Florida; brother Larry (Robin) Kehoe of Bronson; seven grandchildren; many nieces & nephews; and his faithful dog “Sadie”. He was preceded in death by his father Charles; stepfather Richard Kehoe; and stepbrother Lynn Kehoe.
