Obituary for James L. Fry

James L.  Fry
James “Jim” Lynn Fry, 88, of Coldwater passed away Saturday, August 6, 2016 at Maple Lawn.
A memorial service will take place at 3:00 PM on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Dave Anderson officiating. A Coldwater Tyre Masonic Lodge # 18 service will begin just prior to the memorial service. A private interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be prior to the memorial service beginning at 2:00 PM.
James was born March 26, 1928 to Olen and Hazel (Berndt) Fry in Ligonier, IN. After graduation from Coldwater High School, James started his working career. He spent many years at Federal Mogul as a supervisor until the facility closed. Jim then worked as a car hauler for Commercial Carriers, retiring in the late 80’s. James married Delphine Michael, on June 16, 1946. She preceded him in death in 1987. Jim later married Joyce Naumoff, who preceded him in death in 2011.
Early in Jim’s adult life he was very active in Coldwater service clubs. He was a Past Master of Coldwater Tyre Masonic Lodge # 18, Knights Templar, Moose Lodge, Eagle, Elks, UCT, and Shriners member. James enjoyed the outdoors, especially going camping. Later in life, he liked to winter in Arizona. Some of Jim’s hobbies included hunting and building radio controlled airplanes. He was an avid Tigers fan and tried to never miss a game. He will be remembered for being a generous, helpful, and patriotic man. His true joy in life was spending time with this family, especially the grandchildren.
Mr. Fry is survived by his children Nancy Hutchins of Coldwater, Margaret Radebaugh of Allen, and James M. (Vickie) Fry of Coldwater; his brothers Leo Fry of Jupiter, FL and Gene (Louise) Fry of Coldwater; sister-in-law Barbara Fry of Coldwater, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives Delphine and Joyce; his daughter Rebecca Fry; his brothers Olen Fry, Jr. and Glen Fry; his son-in-law Terry Hutchins.
