Judith E. "Judy"  Baker
Judith “Judy” Ellen Baker, 64 of Coldwater passed away suddenly at home on Saturday, May 14, 2016 after several years of health issues.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 20 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Eldon Lee from the Free Methodist Church of Coldwater officiating. In following Judy’s wishes, she will be cremated after the funeral service. Visitation will be Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Dutcher Funeral Home from 6-8:00 PM.

Judith was born February 3, 1952 to Herman and Erma (Smith) Tubbs in Coldwater. She graduated from Coldwater High School. Judy enjoyed her many years work at Walter’s Building Supply, where she worked just about every position during her long employment. She was very skilled at being a cost estimator for building projects. On August 7, 1981 she married the love of her life Harold Baker in Coldwater.

Judy was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed watching basketball and football. Her hobbies included weaving, needle point, and quilting. Judy was also known as the “Farmville Queen”. She was a very hands on and hardworking person, even roofing her own home. Mostly she relished spending time with her family.

Mrs. Baker is survived by her husband of 34 years, Harold Baker of Coldwater; her step-children Rene Glezman of Mesick, Steven (Carol) Baker, Rhonda (Scott) Lammers all of Traverse City, and Angela Brouse of South Carolina; her siblings Harold (Brenda) Tubbs of Coldwater, Carl (Christine) Tubbs of Stevensville, Martha (Robert) Radley of Bronson, and Ralph (Lorrie) Tubbs of Goshen; nine grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her in-laws Grace and Lloyd Baker; her step-son Brian Baker; her step son-in-law Rick Glezman; and her grandson Rick Glezman, Jr.
