Scott Hoard, 61, of Bronson, passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2016 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at 11:00 AM, at the Church of Christ in Bronson with Pastor Mike Roberts officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 10:00 AM. The family is being served by Dutcher Funeral Home in Bronson.
Scott was born May 21, 1954 in Sturgis to James and Mildred (Hoyt) Hoard. He married Lois Spring on June 28, 1972 in Coldwater. Scott worked at Bronson Plating and farmed for many years. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Bronson. Scott enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and being outdoors. He loved telling stories, had a sense of humor and was a very giving and caring man.
In Addition to his wife, Scott is survived by his children, Trevor (Joann) Hoard of Fountain, Colorado and Chad Hoard of Bronson, his siblings, Dale Hoard of Bronson, Veronica (Robert) Moore of Sturgis, Beverly (Steve) Frasier of Coldwater; his half siblings, Merle (Betty) Hoard of White Pigeon, Ranha (Mark) Harmon of Elkhart, Brian (Suzi) Hoard and Terry Hoard both of Coldwater. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 infant sons, his brother Walter Hoard and a granddaughter.
