Obituary for Eleanor M. Kaiser

Eleanor M.  Kaiser
Eleanor M. Kaiser, 88, of Bronson, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility in Coldwater.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Dutcher- Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Gene Cobb officiating. Interment will follow at Snow Prairie Cemetery in Bethel Township. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson.
Eleanor was born August 22, 1927 to James Buchanan and Eyolen (Boon) Smullen in Coldwater. She was a graduate of Coldwater High School. Eleanor married Raymond Kaiser on October 22, 1948 in Three Rivers and he preceded her in death on July 4, 1989.
Eleanor worked at L. A. Darling in Bronson as an administrative assistant and then at Max Larsen in Coldwater as the office manager and she retired from Douglas Manufacturing in Bronson in the human resource department.
She was a member of TOPS in Coldwater and with bowling leagues over the years in Bronson. She enjoyed bird watching, flower gardening, NASCAR, traveling, decorating for Christmas and was hard working and fiercely devoted to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Eleanor is survived by her children; Linda (Dan) Fennell of Scottsburg, Indiana, Sallie (John) Egan of Battle Creek, LaMarr “Butch” (Cindy) Kaiser of Coldwater and John Kaiser of Coldwater; her 9 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; her brother, Harold (Rose) Smullen of Quincy; her sisters, Joann Herman of Coldwater, Jeannette Kubasiak of Coldwater and Sallie (Don) Pope of Coldwater. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raymond, her infant brother Joseph Smullen, her brother James Smullen Jr. and her sister Joyce Ernsberger.
Memorials may be directed to Bronson Fire Department or the charity of one’s choice.
