Betty attended Lockwood Community Church, and belonged to TOPS, the Four Towns Grange and a bowling league. She had a great love of music; singing and dancing, as her parents had owned the former Beckwith Dance Hall in Quincy. She also enjoyed reading, puzzle books, sewing and crocheting. Betty fought Lupus her entire life and was proud to have paved the way for other Lupus patients through her treatments.
