Obituary for Louis J. Groholski

Louis J. Groholski, 79, of Coldwater, passed away on February 5, 2016 at his home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Very Rev. Mark Vyverman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 5-7:00 PM, with the Rosary to begin at 7:00 PM, at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Louis was born November 2, 1936 in Girard Twp., MI to Joseph & Anna (Stankewicz) Groholski. He attended St. Charles School and graduated from Tekonsha High School. Mr. Groholski earned his electrical certification from the Chicago Industrial Training Institute, graduating in 1963. He married Jeanne VanHorn on March 11, 1965 and together they have celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Louis spent most of his life as an electrician, but also worked a variety of other jobs. Many years ago he had a milk delivery business and had sold real estate for the former Groholski Real Estate. He was a car dealer, operating 2 car lots in Tekonsha and Battle Creek and drove truck for A & C Petroleum. Lou retired in 1991 but continued to work for the Coldwater Community School System in Maintenance.
Louis was a member of St. Charles Church, UCT and the GMP union, Local #120B. He enjoyed golfing and fishing but his greatest joy was his family, especially his grandchildren, whom he loved building toys for.
Lou is survived by his wife Jeanne, his daughter Holly (Heath Evans) Groholski of Coldwater, his brother and sisters Robert (Marilyn) Groholske of Union City, Dorothy Liggins, Elizabeth DeGroot both of Coldwater, Joan (L.G.) Rogers of Burlington, Ruth Cole of Quincy and his grandsons Jace and Brayden. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters, 1 brother and an infant sibling.
