Many of you may not know me, but I am Don's cousin.  His mother Pauline and my mother Marion (Bogart) Doty, are first cousins.  I have known Don for many, many years.  He loved telling me the story about our high school days, which at time we were not aware of our relationship.  Don asked me out for a date and I accepted.  When I got home from school, I told my mother.  She immediatly told me that I would not be allowed to date Don.  When I asked her why, she explained to me that we were cousins!!  After that, Don told me that I treated him like he had the plague and would not speak to him anymore.  We laughed about it later as he enjoyed telling me the story.  Don was such a sweet and kind man and I am so fortunate to call him friend as well as family.  The photo that I submitted is a picture of Don with me (wearing the flowered blouse) and Judy (Sanders) Gilpin, who is also a cousin of Don.
