Gordon R.  Langheld
Gordon Robert Langheld, 81 of Bronson passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.

A memorial service will take place at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson with Pastor Terry Siler from First Congregational Church of Bronson officiating. Interment will follow at Matteson Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM.

Gordon was born July 9, 1934 to Charles and Bertha (Eichhorst) Langheld in Lemont, Illinois. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. On March 9, 1957 he married the love of his life, Marvel “Lee” Hawkins in Lemont. Gordon worked for many years as an auto mechanic with General Motors. He worked mainly at Village Pontiac, but did work with a few other dealers in Illinois.

Gordon was involved with the Coldwater Moose Lodge, and also the American Legion in both Bronson and Orland. He enjoyed playing cards and tinkering on cars. Robert was a quiet man who loved animals, especially his Chihuahua “Tina”.

Mr. Langheld is survived by his wife of 58 years Marvel Langheld of Bronson; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers Clyde & Elmer Langheld.
