Irene Luxenburger, 93 of Quincy passed away on Monday, December 21, 2015 at Drews Place of Coldwater.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:30 AM on Monday, December 28, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Coldwater with Very Rev. Father Mark Vyverman officiating. Interment will follow at Fisher Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the Mass, beginning at 10:30 AM.
Irene was born March 28, 1922 to Louis and Petranella (Kaniewski) Supianoski in Quincy. She graduated from St. Charles High School in 1940. Irene married Donald Luxenburger on May 30, 1948 in Coldwater. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2014.
Irene was a life long member of St. Charles Church. She enjoyed sending cards and letters to family and friends and watching Tiger baseball._Irene was first and foremost a farm wife. There was always a vegetable garden that kept our family in fresh vegetables in the summer and canned and frozen produce in the winter. She had several part time jobs over the years with the last serving as Algansee Township Clerk.
Mrs. Luxenburger is survived by her daughter Suzan Aven of Edmond, OK; her daughter-in-law Jill Luxenburger-Feather of Columbus, OH; her sister Barbara (John) Fisher of Sturgis; her grandchildren Erica Aven, Chris Aven, Philip Luxenburger, and Jeff Luxenburger. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Donald; her son Philip Luxenburger; her granddaughter Amy Luxenburger; her brother Edward Supainoski and his wife Mary, her brother Bernard Supianoski; her sister Margaret Larimer; and her brother-in-law Myron Larimer.
