Obituary for Jerry Dimmick

Jerry L. Dimmick, 76, of Coldwater, passed away peacefully in his sleep, on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 at his home.
The funeral service will be Friday, September 4, 2015 at 1:00 PM at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Coldwater with Pastor Aaron Chittick officiating. Interment will be Saturday at South Whitley Cemetery in South Whitley, Indiana. Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2015 from 4-8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Jerry was born September 8, 1938 in Ft. Wayne, IN to Russell & Alma (Luttman) Dimmick. He married Janice Beasley on September 8, 1957 in Columbia City, IN.
Mr. Dimmick worked for Con Agra for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. He was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran, where he had served as an elder. Jerry enjoyed fishing with his friends and going to the senior center, playing Euchre and Pinochle. He was an avid Indiana University fan and loved watching sports. Jerry was a dedicated family man and very devout in his faith.
Jerry is survived by his wife Jan, his children Greg (Deb McDonald) Dimmick, Kevin (Sherie) Dimmick all of Huntington, IN, Carrie Covey of Coldwater, his sister Linda (Larry) Tackitt, sister-in-law Karol Dimmick all of South Whitley, IN, his grandchildren Brad Covey, Jamison Covey, Leecia Dimmick, Brittany Dimmick, great grandchildren Lexie and Raelynn Dimmick and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister Joan Tom and brother Jim Dimmick.
