Donald Raymond Cleckner, 70, of Coldwater, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 surrounded by his family at home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Colon. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Donald was born September 21, 1944 to Betty Bidwell and Raymond Slagle in Coldwater. He was later adopted by Paul and Betty (Bidwell) Cleckner. He worked for the City of Coldwater in road maintenance for 32 years retiring in 2006.
He enjoyed collecting odds and ends, fishing, bowling, shooting pool, watching NASCAR, helping people and joking around with friends and family.
Donald is survived by his children; Dora Jean (Steven) Dehnbostel of White Lake, Thomas Eugene Cleckner of Coldwater, Michael Alan Cleckner of Coldwater, Paula Jean (Brian) Etheridge of Somerset, Kentucky, Heather Ann (Chuck) Bills of Coldwater, Donald Raymond Cleckner of Coldwater, Sonya Kay Cleckner of Angola, Indiana and Joshua Alan (Amanda) Cleckner of Bronson, his sister; Cathy (August) Herman of Bronson, his brother; John Cleckner of Coldwater, 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He also leaves 3 brothers and 2 sisters in Elkhart, Indiana. Donald is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Rhonda Shaw and his brother Daniel Cleckner.
