Obituary for Corwin A. Zinn

Corwin A.  Zinn
Corwin A. Zinn, 91 of Coldwater passed away on Friday, July 3, 2015 at Quincy Cottage Assisted Living.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside funeral service with Military Honors by American
Legion Post 52 will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Oak Grove Cemetery with Pastor David Pierce from First Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends later Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.

Corwin was born January 6, 1924 to Carl and Marie (Watters) Zinn in Angola. Corwin proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Upon return from the war, he resumed his career with Coca Cola Bottling and Seyferts Foods as a route driver, retiring in 1986.

Corwin was a member of the American Legion and at one time the VFW. He volunteered for many years delivering with Meals on Wheels. Corwin was very fond of jazz music, going to concerts, and dancing. He also enjoyed going mushrooming and fishing. Corwin liked to spend time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren playing sports. He will be remembered as a nice guy that was quiet and had a good sense of humor.

Mr. Zinn is survived by his children Diane Wanke, Mark (Madeline) Zinn, Scott (Linda) Zinn, and Steven Zinn all of Coldwater; his grandchildren Laura Wanke, McKenzie Zinn, Madison Zinn, Stephanie Zinn, and Jaysen Zinn; four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings Romona Nedele, Phyllis Mahaffey, and Eugene Zinn; his grandson Matthew Wanke.
