Obituary for Arthur "Leland" Carpenter

Arthur Leland Carpenter, 91, of Reading passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family
A Graveside Celebration of Life for Leland and Frances will be held on Friday, May 15, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Bronson Cemetery in Bronson.
Leland was born September 21, 1923 to Arthur J. and Mabel (Hart) Carpenter in Montgomery. He attended Montgomery School. Leland worked at the Coldwater Regional Center for 10 years but he truly was a lifelong farmer on Brown Rd.
Leland married Frances M. Paradine on August 4, 1946 in Coldwater and they made their home in Reading. They had two sons I. Arthur Leland Carpenter, Jr. and II. Randy Lee Carpenter. Frances preceded him in death on January 24, 2013. His favorite hobbies were his love of farming, his draft horses and to go square dancing with his wife.
Leland is survived by his siblings, Norman (Betty) Carpenter of Quincy, Genevieve Kriser of Coldwater, Lila (Harvey) Ellis of Winter Gardens, FL, Norma (Bob) Brown of Fremont, IN, Gloria (David) Hosek of Ray, Patricia (Forrest) King of Kissimmee, FL and Jerry (Sharon) Carpenter of Gilead, his grandchildren, Chad (Daneen) Carpenter of Reading, Jason ( Rachael) Carpenter of Bethel, OH, Jody Monkus of Charlotte, NC, Constance (Brett) Blank of Hillsdale, Cody Carpenter of Coldwater, great-grandchildren Jason Reynolds, Willow Carpenter, Cashton Carpenter, Shayden, Tayln, Kellyn and Daylen Blank, his niece Becky Gilbert, his nephew Dave Gilbert and his son Randy Carpenter of Maysville, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Arthur Leland Carpenter Jr. in 2006, daughter in law, Bonnie (Lukazcek) Carpenter in 1992, his sisters Darlene Carpenter and Barb Freeburn.
