Rosetta B. Blaskie, 85, of Coldwater, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Elkhart General Hospital in Elkhart, IN.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Rev. Fr. Mark Vyverman officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM at the church. The Rosary will be recited at 10:45 AM. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Rose was born April 8, 1929 in Chase, MI to Dee & Irene (Moore) Bregg. She married Daniel D. Blaskie, he preceded her in death on January 9, 1994.
Mrs. Blaskie and her husband owned Southside Welding and Hardware in Coldwater for many years. She had also owned and operated Rose’s Balloon Boutique. Rose enjoyed raising and caring for her Yorkies and Shih Tzu’s.
Rose is survived by her children Dan (Darinda) Blaskie, Jr. of Battle Creek, Kathy (Mike) O’Reilly of Middlebury, IN, Gary (Michelle) Blaskie of Kalamazoo, Mary White of Brooklyn, MI, her son-in-law Dan Brazo of Niles, her brothers Roy Bregg of Tennessee, Tom (Sue) Bregg of Battle Creek, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Sue Brazo and her brother Joe Bregg.
