Claire M. Robey, 79, of Coldwater, passed away on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Maple Lawn Medical Care Facility.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 1:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor David Pierce from the First Baptist Church officiating. The family will receive friends, prior to the service, beginning at 11:00 AM at Dutcher Funeral Home.
Claire was born June 13, 1935 in Redford, MI to Wilford & Imogene (Merrion) Couillard. She married Thomas H. Robey on October 9, 1955 in Coldwater.
Mrs. Robey was a Surgical Technician at the Community Health Center of Branch County for many years. She had also worked for Drs. Burke, Reddy and Waterson’s office and as the Activities Director at the former Carriage Inn Convalescent Center.
Claire was a member of the Coldwater First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star #1. She enjoyed bowling, playing on a league for many years and reading. Claire was very creative and kept busy with ceramics and painting. Most of all she enjoyed time with her family, especially her many grandchildren.
Claire is survived by her husband Tom, her children Carrie Welsh, David (Chris) Robey, Jon (Kris) Robey, Scott (Tammy) Robey all of Coldwater, her sister Gail (Bob) Nichols of Coldwater, 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and her close friend Nancee Brewer of Coldwater.
