Phillip E.  Kuntz
Phillip Eugene Kuntz, 70, of Coldwater passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Masonville Place, Coldwater.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Thomas Ramundo of Coldwater Free Methodist Church officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater. Visitation will take place on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 1:00 – 2:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Phillip was born August 4, 1944 to Ervin and Lavina (Burrows) Kuntz in Jackson, MI. After attending high school he entered the United States Navy on Jan. 24, 1963 and was discharged on Jan. 27, 1967. He received the National Defense Service Medal while serving. Phillip did odd jobs besides farming during his working career. He was a member of Coldwater American Legion Post # 52. He enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing, boating and collecting sailboats.
Phillip is survived by his wife Patricia (Arcadipane) Kuntz of Coldwater, three sons, one daughter, two step- daughters, his brother Raymond Kuntz of Georgia, his sisters Carolyn (Edward) Bowman of Houghton Lake, MI and Esther Louise Keys of Jackson, MI. He is also survived by five grandchildren , six great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be directed to Coldwater American Legion Post # 52 or Disabled American Veterans Association.
