Obituary for Kenneth L. Bell

Kenneth L.  Bell
Kenneth L. Bell, 93, of Coldwater passed away on December 17, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Charles Sparks of Christian Pilgrim Church, Coldwater officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Coldwater. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 – 2:00 PM on Monday.

Kenneth was born May 20, 1921 in Red Key, Indiana to Edward and Cora (Fetter) Bell. He married Joan Bailey on April 19, 1958 in Coldwater. Kenneth was a veteran of World War II. serving with the U.S. Navy. He then began a long career in the L.P. Gas Industry with Great Plaines Gas Co. for 42 years retiring in 1986. He also worked part time for the Shoppers Guide helping with driving. Kenneth loved to work and was a Detroit Tigers fan.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years Joan, his daughter Lynn Matlenga of Auburn Hills, grandchildren Michelle Lindow and Paul Matlenga, great grandchildren Garrett Lindow and Payge Lindow. He was preceded in death by his parents, son in law, Jerry Matlenga, 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
