Obituary for Rebecca Jean (Loose) Pang

Rebecca Jean (Loose) Pang, 40, of Utica, formerly of Coldwater, passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 at her parents’ home in Coldwater.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Lockwood Community Church in Coldwater with Chick Gerber officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Becky was born March 18, 1974 in Coldwater, MI to Kenneth & Deborah (Hayton) Loose. She married Raymond Pang on June 29, 2013 in Coldwater.

Becky graduated from Coldwater High School in 1992 and from Central MI University in 1997 with a degree in Hospitality Management. She worked for many years at the Detroit area hotels where she was in Corporate Sales and Management.

Becky was very selfless and gave much of her time for worthy causes. She was a spokesperson for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and honored as “Southeast Michigan’s Finest” for her fundraising efforts for a cure. She had a great love of animals and gave generously to the Humane Society. After moving away from her hometown of Coldwater, Becky still came back to the area to raise funds and awareness for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Becky enjoyed spending time on the lake with friends, but most of all, she adored her family and treasured the time they spent together.

Becky is survived by her husband Ray, her step-daughter Andrea Pang of Toronto, Canada, her parents Ken & Debbie Loose of Coldwater, her sister Stacey (Scott) Winter of Coldwater, many nieces, nephews and cousins including Emma & Oliver Winter of Coldwater, her mother-in-law Margaret Pang, her sisters and brothers-in-law Lillian (Mike) Mulder of London, Ontario, Canada, Bobbie (Tony) Kosir, Richard Pang all of Toronto, aunts and uncles Don & Sue Steffey, Janice Murphy, Pat Loose, her very dear friends Kim & Brad Nichols, and her beloved dog & cat Pepper and Freebie.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Humane Society of One’s Choice, or Gift of Life. www.dutcherfh.com.
