John Gregory “Gregg” Dean, 63, of Coldwater, passed away on October 30, 2014 with his daughter and mother by his side at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Dave Pierce of the First Baptist Church of Coldwater officiating. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 from 2:00- 4:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home. A private interment will be at a later date at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Gregg was born April 16, 1951 in Coldwater, MI to John and Valerie (Kennedy) Dean. He grew up in Coldwater , graduating from Coldwater High School in 1969, and then from Hillsdale College with a Bachelor of Liberal Studies. Gregg went into the real estate business with his father as a broker for over 30 years.
Gregg enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing, traveling and being around his pets, Chance and Emmie as well as his “bitty buddy” Salem.
He is survived by his daughter, Jesse (Jacob Jones)Farst-Dean of Coldwater; his mother, Valerie Youngquist of Coldwater; his brother, Jeff (Teresa) Dean of Coldwater; his niece, Morgan and nephew, Eric. He was preceded in death by his father, John Dean and step father, Jack Youngquist.
