Terry L. Smith, 65, of Coldwater, died on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 PM at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Battle Creek with Pastor Jeff Bream from Northview Christian Church officiating.
Terry was born May 16, 1949 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Richard H. and Margaret Eleanor (Eagar) Smith. He graduated from Union City High School in 1970 and lived in the Union City area most of his life. He had worked at Acorn in Quincy for over 20 years.
Terry loved country music, fishing and beer. He was known to be quite stubborn, but had a heart of gold. His family loved him very much and he will be greatly missed.
Mr. Smith is survived by his children, Tracy Ann Smith-Wolfinger of Avilla, IN, Stahycee Lee Smith, and Kip McKay (Jody) Kirchberg, both of Coldwater, his sisters Roberta Wittmuss of CA, Karolyn (Jerry) Omo of Gary, IN, Judy House of AZ, his brother David (Debra) Smith of Coldwater, his grandchildren James Price, Kyle Price, Lakita “Katie” Price, Tahylin Porath, Brahyton Smith, Piper Kirchberg, his great-granddaughter Baylee Rae Kidd, and his nephew Gary (Gloria) Smith of Coldwater. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary Smith, in 1969.
