Obituary for Duane E. Baranouski

Duane E. Baranouski, 74, of Coldwater, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at Hillsdale Community Health Center.
The funeral service will be Friday, September 26, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Gilead Community Church. Interment will follow at East Gilead Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 25, 2014 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Duane was born May 5, 1940 in in Fifield, Wisconsin to Emil & Ida (Meier) Baranouski. He married Janice M. Blain on June 7, 1964 in Quincy, she preceded him in death on May 25, 2012.
Mr. Baranouski owned and operated Houser’s Service in Coldwater for over 50 years. He loved his work and enjoyed teaching others his trade. Duane was also very active with the Branch Area Career Center Automotive Department, critiquing the work of the students.
Duane was a member of the Bethel Gilead Community Church. He enjoyed attending auctions and flea markets and seeking out antiques. Duane was an outdoorsman who enjoyed cutting wood and loved to travel with his wife, Janice.
Duane is survived by his daughter Tammy (Chuck) Mullendore of Burrows, IN, Tina Baranouski of Lisle, IL, Jennifer (Jay) Cook of Battle Creek, his brother Robert Baranouski, his grandchildren Amanda, Nathan, Alysia and Cameron Cook. In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his grandson Cailin Cook and his sister Beverly Shedd.
