Obituary for John A. Chapman

John A. Chapman, 71, of Bronson, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
No services are scheduled at this time, cremation has taken place. Arrangements are being cared for by Dutcher-Kolcz Funeral Home in Bronson.
John was born March 28, 1943 in Oregon to James & Margaret (West) Chapman. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. John married Theola Ware and later married Carolyn Nagle. They both preceded him in death.
Mr. Chapman worked for Holland Trucking, from which he retired after 40 years. He was a member of the Coldwater Eagles, Teamsters Union and the NRA. John was a NASCAR fan and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed tractor and truck pulls, fishing and going up north to their family cabin in Kalkaska.
John is survived by his children Theodore (Amie) Chapman of Olivet, Lisa Chapman of Bronson, his mother Margaret Chapman of Coldwater, his brothers Ralph (Alice) Chapman of Coldwater, George (Linda) Chapman of FL, Mike (Brenda) Chapman of Battle Creek, his grandchildren Jarrit Cole, John Chapman, Jacob Chapman, Korey Chapman and 2 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his father James, his brothers David and Donny Chapman and his sister Donna Chapman.
