Obituary for Blaine Kenneth Katz

Blaine Kenneth  Katz
Blaine Kenneth Katz, 84 formerly of Coldwater passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 in Fort Wayne.

A memorial service will take place at 1:30 PM on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Dallas McFarland officiating. Interment will follow at Lyon Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service starting at 12:00 Noon.

Blaine was born December 20, 1929 to Donald C. and Myrtle B. (Hoyt) Katz in Fredonia Township. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and also as a FBI Special Agent in Washington DC for many years. He married Judith Ann Robitaille on July 1, 1983.

Mr. Katz was very proud of his military and government work. He was a member of the American Legion, J. Edgar Hoover Post 56 in Washington DC, the Marine Memorial Club in San Francisco, and the Society of Former Special Agents of the FBI. More importantly he was a loving husband and father. He will be missed by many.

Blaine is survived by his wife of 31 years Judith Katz of Fort Wayne; his daughters Inger (Pat) Pantoliano of Longmont, CO and Grace Greene of Loveland, CO; step-daughters Kim Bixby of Fort Wayne and Kristi (Cletus) McFarland of Coldwater; his sister Donna Beitler of Trumbull, NE; his grand-children Rachel, Conner, and Alexa Bixby, Derek (Alex), Nathan, and Mandi McFarland, Patrick (Ella) Pantoliano and Britt (Nate) Pantoliano-Hentges, and four great grand-children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Wade, Rex, and Duane Katz; his sister Joyce Anderson.
