Obituary for A. Wayne Price

Arthur “Wayne” Price, 90 of Quincy passed away on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at his home while surrounded by family.

In following Arthur’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery.

Arthur was born January 17, 1924 to Samuel L. and Minnie (Auten) Price in Jasonville, IN. After graduating from high school, Wayne proudly served his county during WWII in the U.S. Navy. Upon return from his Navy service, Wayne took college classes about building watches and worked for a jeweler in Bloomington, IN before deciding to change careers. In 1953, Wayne married Leola Schneider.

Wayne and Leola raised Quarter Horses & Tennessee Walkers along with Boston Terriers for many years. He was a member of the Saddle Club in Lagrange, IN. Wayne enjoyed being outdoors, especially going fishing. He was a loving family man with a kind heart and outgoing personality. Wayne was friendly with everyone. He will be missed by many.

Mr. Price is survived by his daughter Nancy (Lloyd) Reynolds of Quincy; his grand-children Tim Reynolds of Gobles and Jacklyn Reynolds of Coldwater; his great grand-children Katrina and Devin Maggart, and Micailan and Ryan Reynolds. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Leola Price; his daughter Sherry Nelson; and his sister Pauline Davis.
